The Firenock standard-size match weight has been on the market since 2006. It has been an excellent workhorse for us since day one. Since introducing the 500fps crossbows and using highly hard-stopping targets, we have begun to hear about the match weight striking through the end cap and destroying arrows. After careful testing and investigation of the issue, we have concluded that the current match weight, a piece of stainless steel from the water cutting, is no longer suitable for that ultra-high-speed crossbow. Hence, the new 500fps-and-over Match Weights were introduced.
This match weight is made of 7071 aluminum and is precisely CNC-machined, so the forward impact force can be evenly distributed over the end cap. We even go as far as adding a 2.8mm x 0.87mm O-ring, which makes it unable to rattle. One can purchase the three-pack; the MSRP is three for $14.95. We have decided all metal Firenock Extreme practice nocks will cone with this new match weight. Thus, the new P-style+x match weight will have a new price reflecting the change. One must buy the nock and end cap separately to match the weight. To make it totally backward compatible, these 500fps-and-over Match Weights can be used on all crossbow nocks we currently make regardless of speed.
